Our Shoes

Where and how are Freedazz shoes made?

Indigenous women in a master textile artists' collective in Southern Mexico take 14 days to hand loom and embroider the fabric using legacy techniques perfected over many generations. Each finished fabric 'loom' is approximately 8 ft. x 3 ft, which is then shipped to a small family-owned shoe workshop in Central Mexico. There traditional craftsmen cut and sew the fabric upper into different styles before attaching the comfort sole with ample interior padding.

Will my shoes be identical to the photo?

Unlike mass-produced fashion where every item is identical, each handmade Freedazz's fabric is unique with different design placement. This inherent variability results in no 2 shoes being identical. All images are for representational purposes only. For multicolored styles with more than 2 embroidered colors (e.g., Sassy, Hummingbird, etc.), colors may vary so we provide options—when feasible—for you to choose a dominant color.

Do your shoes fit true to size?

Each handmade style has a different fit profile, and we provide detailed sizing notes (runs true, large or small) on each product page to help you determine your correct size. Note women's sizes come in whole sizes only, and guidance for 1/2 sizes is provided on each product page.

What materials are Freedazz footwear made from?

Our handwoven upper is a cotton polyester blend, and soles are 20% rubber/80% synthetic. The interior has a cushioned synthetic padding.

How do I clean my Freedazz footwear?

To keep looking new, spot clean fabric with diluted mild soap and use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on white sneaker soles. For deeper cleaning, wash in cold water by hand or on delicate cycle in washer and air dry only--do not put in dryer. Use Woolite or similar laundry detergent that is free of harsh ingredients like bleach and enzymes to provide better care against washing related damage.

In-Person Sales

Are Freedazz sold in stores?

Yes. Although Freedazz are primarily sold online, we have select retail partners and occasionally do trunk shows and pop-up markets that we announce on our social media. In CT, Freedazz are sold at BK&Co. Boutique in West Hartford Center; Lark Boutique in Chester; and The Gallery Shop at Work_Space Gallery in Manchester.

Sorry, only 1 promo code per purchase and cannot be combined with any other offers.

Shipping

What is my shipping cost to receive, and what carrier to you use?

We provide FREE USPS Ground Advantage shipping in the US. Shipping is from CT and standard delivery averages 3-10 days based on distance. Tracking information will be sent with your confirmation.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes, we offer Priority and Express via USPS with prices listed at checkout.

Exchanges

What is your exchange policy?

We hope that you love your Freedazz, but if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can exchange your purchase:

  • Return shipping must begin within 14 days from date your item(s) was received to be eligible for an exchange or refund. This allows us timely replenishment of our small batch production inventory.
  • All exchanged and returned items must be in new original resalable condition (sole, exterior, interior) in original packaging to be eligible for a refund or exchange. We recommend testing shoes indoors on carpeting to keep the sole in resalable condition.
  • Our return and exchange policy applies to purchases on Freedazz.com. For in-store purchases, please seek assistance from your point of purchase.

Is there a cost to me to exchange?

  • Freedazz pays 100% of the return shipping cost back to us for an initial exchange if you use the pre-printed USPS return label we provide in each shipment. Skip a trip to the post office and select 'Schedule a Pickup' on USPS.com for easy home/work pickup.
  • If you return your shoes using a different shipping method, Freedazz will not be responsible for the shipping charges nor refund the cost.
  • We charge $10 per shoe exchange to ship each exchanged item back to you via USPS Standard shipping.
  • We're happy to provide you with expedited USPS exchange shipping upon request, provided you cover the excess amount over the $10 Standard shipping fee.
  • Once we've shipped an initial exchange, all subsequent shipping costs will be covered by the customer and are non-refundable.

What if the shoes I want to exchange for are out of stock in my size?

We will issue a refund less the return shipping cost of our commercial rate pre-printed USPS Ground Advantage label we provided for your return shipment. Each pair returned ranges between $6-$13 based on your distance from CT.

What is your return and refund policy?

We hope that you love your Freedazz, but if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can return your purchase for a refund:
